Kona coffee is one of the most expensive and sought-after coffees in the world. This specialty coffee treasure is grown on the slopes of volcanoes Hualālai and Mauna Loa, which are located in the Kona district of the Big Island of Hawaii.
This unique location presents ideal growing conditions for Hawaiian coffee, such as perfect altitude, rich volcanic soil, and constant sunshine. The region is also known for the steady yet gentle rainfall, and the coffee trees are protected from prevailing winds by the surrounding volcanoes.
Kona coffee annual harvest occurs in September-February and the special Arabica beans are then processed by the wet method, which is reserved for the greatest coffees. Hawaii Kona coffee is a gourmet coffee and single origin coffee, extremely appreciated for its smoothness and caramel flavour notes.
Hayman® acquires only the best Hawaiian coffee, namely Kona coffee’s Extra Fancy beans, the highest quality grade awarded by the Hawaiian Department of Agriculture.
As a testament to the unmatched quality of our coffee, Harrods and Selfridges, the high-end department stores in London, became Hayman's exclusive retailers in the UK.
Hayman® exhibited at the London Coffee Festival, one of the largest and most important coffee fairs in the world. We are members of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), the global authority in coffee excellence.
